Erin Brockovich has a Community Healthbook Map where people across the country can report environmental concerns in their communities. We need to put the proposed Clemmons asphalt plant on her team’s radar.
The more individual people in our community who report their concerns about the same location, the clearer it becomes that this is not one person raising an alarm — this is a community asking to be heard.
  1. Go here:
  2. You can skip looking through the map and scroll down to “Report An Issue.”
  3. For the location of concern, use:
📍 6010 Gun Club Road, Winston Salem, NC 27103
Do not enter your home address as the location of the environmental concern.
  4. Choose the category that best represents your actual concern — Air, Water, Land, or Other.
  5. In the description, explain in your own words why the proposed asphalt plant concerns you. Please don’t simply copy someone else’s response word-for-word. Some things you may want to mention, if they genuinely concern you:
    • proximity to homes and neighborhoods
    • air emissions and air quality
    • children, schools and daycares in the surrounding community
    • stormwater and the nearby Muddy Creek watershed
    • the site’s floodplain characteristics
    • truck traffic and community impacts
    • why you believe this location deserves additional environmental scrutiny

Our goal is simple: MAKE CLEMMONS IMPOSSIBLE TO OVERLOOK.
Please be factual and speak from your own concerns. We have been writing officials, researching permits, attending meetings, gathering documents and speaking up locally. Now we have an opportunity to put this issue in front of a nationally recognized environmental advocate.

Erin Brockovich has spent decades bringing attention to communities concerned about pollution and environmental health. Let’s make sure she can see what is happening in ours.
🔥 Please don’t save this for later. Do it now.

Five minutes. One report. One more voice for Clemmons.

Let’s light up that map. ❤️
